New York City Student Shakespeare Festival
The New York City Student Shakespeare Festival (NYCSSF) is a teacher development program produced by the Paul A. Kaplan Center for Educational Drama at the CUNY/Creative Arts Team. Founded in 1994 to encourage students to celebrate William Shakespeare's work, the Festival program features a mentor model of professional development for teachers and culminates with student performances at a major Off Broadway playhouse. Participation is open to all New York City (and surrounding area) elementary, middle, and high school teachers. (Teacher Artist).
