The Higgs Boson Project

Conceived of and directed by Annie G. Levy in collaboration with the Pace School of the Art's International Performance Ensemble Program.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.  It is the source of all true art and all science.  So the unknown, the mysterious, is where art and science meet."  ~Einstein

On July 4th, 2012, the Higgs boson (a cornerstone of modern physics despite never being seen) was 'discovered' at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.  On the other side of the world, a young man attempts to capture a jar full of 'dark matter,' and a young woman attempts to ignore gravity.  This highly physical collaborative piece explores the intersection of The Standard Model and our day to day lives.
