Sharon Is My Name is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, set in a high school detention room where a passionate teen named Sharon challenges authority over her love for literature and justice. With her rebellious brother and his quirky friend by her side, they stage an impromptu trial of Shakespeare’s play, wrestling with themes of anti-Semitism, power, and mercy.
