The World Wide Lab

Levy is a founding member of The World Wide Lab (WWL), an international directors’ collective that experiments with various models of co-directing. Comprising ten members from seven different countries, the collective creates dynamic, diverse, and engaging work across the globe.

The WWL was born from relationships established at the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. Inspired by those connections, a core group of directors developed the idea of an international festival centered on co-directing practices.

To date, the WWL has produced work for five performance residencies:

Between Two Breaths – Superior Theatre Festival, Thunder Bay, ON

In Transit – 435 Art Zone, New Taipei City, Taiwan

The Ecclesiazusae – Apollo Theatre, Syros, Greece

Young Lear – Teatro Due, Rome, Italy

Last Request – Irondale, Brooklyn, NY

Through these residencies, the WWL enables its members to cross both geographical and theatrical borders, creating innovative and challenging new works that reflect the collective's global and collaborative ethos.
